Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management Accelerates Adaptability

Businesses are shifting away from rigid, monolithic solutions in favour of agile business apps that can be deployed fast, linked seamlessly with other current systems, and collect and consolidate large volumes of data from several touchpoints, therefore breaking down data silos.

According to Forrester, fragmented data makes it difficult for businesses to build a comprehensive profile of customer wants, which is a problem that 44 percent of retail decision-makers face.

Organizations must also build a single picture of their orders among all engagement channels in order to improve personalization. Business executives have realised that by leveraging best-of-breed software, they may avoid costly and time-consuming rip-and-replace business processes even while accomplishing the same goals.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management, a solution that enables businesses to improve agility by employing easy-to-deploy out-of-the-box connectors inside a low-code or no-code environment, was released to the general public last month. This month, we’re excited to announce a number of new integrations and features that extend the possibilities of Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management even further.

For further information, go to Intelligent Order Management for Dynamics 365 is now generally accessible.

Scale quickly with the help of partner connectors:

60 senior supply-chain executives from various industries and countries were recently interviewed by McKinsey & Company 85 percent of respondents said they struggled with inefficient digital technologies to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic’s logistical disruptions, parts and material shortages, and sudden swings in demand. designed to allow businesses to rapidly scale with out-of-the-box, pre-built partner connectors to e-commerce platforms, fulfilment services, delivery partners, and other back-office systems. We give enterprises new levels of agility by integrating smart with other best-of-breed solutions through our growing community of partners.

Orderful and BigCommerce are two of the order intake systems for which Intelligent Order Management has pre-built interfaces. Orderful is a cloud-based electronic data interchange platform that allows businesses to integrate EDI transactions from Orderful’s network.

BigCommerce is an e-commerce SaaS platform, and Order is an electronic data interchange platform that allows companies to integrate EDI transactions from Orderful’s network. These new order input sources allow organisations to be more agile, allowing them to seize new possibilities faster by receiving orders from anywhere.

ShipStation is a web-based e-commerce shipping software that enables merchants to create shipping labels for their online purchases rapidly. Users can integrate all of their carriers and order sources together in one single solution by combining ShipStation with the Intelligent Order Management platform.

Avalara, an tax compliance solution which determines order tax rates based on geolocation and product classification, and Flexe, a cloud-based platform that combines warehouse sourcing and streamlines material handling operations, are now available to Intelligent Order Management users.

Our solution provides a framework for businesses to incorporate agility and robustness into their order management processes and free themselves from old and inefficient digital technologies by integrating these pre-built partner connectors to Intelligent Order Management.

Limit the time it takes to get a product to market:

The demand is for adaptable, flexible, and agile architecture since organisations can no longer afford to be rigid and reactionary. According to a survey, very effective agile transformations often resulted in 30 per cent increases in efficiency, customer happiness, employee engagement, and operational effectiveness, allowing the business to run 5 to 10 times faster and turbocharging creativity.

Intelligent Order Management now has the option to print shipping labels straight from its own application.

There are also changes to the system’s functionality, such as converting internal to external IDs. Users can create different mappings with different providers using internally to external ID translation. For example, from an e-commerce system like BigCommerce, a user can map multiple names for the same product or SKU to Intelligent Order Management. Because Intelligent Order Management is employed in complicated order environments where data is transmitted between numerous internal and external systems, this form of internal to external ID mapping is crucial.

Localizations now include localised Business Event definitions and Provider definition metadata. The modifications to localization also included Arabic, Danish, Dutch, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish to the list of languages that can now be localised.

Users will also benefit from an enhanced Power BI architecture, which includes a set of dashboards built in the user experience and powered by Microsoft Power BI technology.

The Power BI dashboards give an extended view of the order and fulfilment data flowing through the app.

With fulfilment analytics, you can improve order accuracy:

According to a recent Gartner® “final mile” survey, only 18% of firms report fulfilment accuracy rates of 95% or higher4. Our new Order insights dashboard can help them achieve just that. At Microsoft, we believe that online solutions are a viable approach to enhancing this critical performance metric, and our new Order insights dashboard could help them do just that.

Data-driven and AI-infused Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management Dashboard for Order Insights

The order insights dashboard gives you a bird’s-eye view of all of the order fulfilment activities that are running through Intelligent Order Management. Users can immediately analyse important performance indicators such as average lines per order, order count, number of order lines, and orders past due from a single screen. Users may also view individual provider performance data, and if there is a problem, they can dive down into the provider’s information to discover more.

We’ve also added additional dashboard views to the Insights menu to provide users with a complete overview of what’s going on with an order. The Daily Events dashboard, for example, provides users with an overview of any failed order orchestration processes, indicating them to aid in decision-making.

What comes next?

Businesses must rely on adaptable solutions like Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management that easily interact with other best-of-breed apps as their ability to quickly respond to shifting demands improves. We enable businesses to increase organisational agility by giving them the flexibility to scale quickly, go to market faster, and enhance order accuracy with fulfilment analytics.
